It's kind of... barrows level hybrid-ish armour. Slightly worse Def than torags with prayer bonus and no positive or negative attack bonuses. I don't really see the usefulness of the set perk without more crystal weapons either. Edit: oh that range Def though.

The only other realistic alternative while going dry for bowfa is crystal bow+crystal armour. I have no idea how it compares to rcb but id imagine it is better marginally. Would have to dps calc it. Rcb is serviceable though, I was running 250-350's with it and even got masori backpack with it and similar gear.
