This Ruger SFAR 16” looks to be similar to the Sig 716i in cost and the 716i has also been compared favorably to the POF by some reviewers. The Ruger SFAR is not really anything new. POF did the same thing with the Rogue, and DPMS did the same thing even before that with the DPMS Gen 2. The added handguard compatibility with an AR-15 is nice, but no, the AR10 is far from dead. The large frame AR may not have a "standard", but there is a TON of aftermarket for LR308/SR25.
